Lets see them!! turkey season is just around the corner for most of us and im starting to get pumped!! I will try and snap a picture of my gun that i will be using this season! Its a Mossberg 500 12 guage and i will not have a scope on it this season! I hate scopes! and last year it messed me up with a big gobbler! he was at about 15 yrds gobbling his head off and i couldnt see through the scope since it was all fogged up GRRR. Plus i shoot better without a scope anyday! this setup should be deadly out to about 45 yrds !

Heres mine. The one is Mossberg 500 12 gauge. The other one is a young gun Bear bow. I'll be using the bow pretty much all the time though.

I like the looks of your Bear bow Bryce. Bow all the way for me. Nothing like an 80lb bow to kill a 20lb bird lol. Now if we can just get Galen to man up and use his bow during turkey season (lol just kidding Galen)

Thanks for the compliments. Those are the only two weapons that I really use. That gun does pretty much everything.

Those both look sweet! I always liked the camo look. I haven't hunted turkeys as of yet. I have those 2 bows I'll post later. As far as the scope malfunction, use a clear glass red dot scope instead of a regular style scope you have to get a focused eye on the target with.

I never used a regular type scope on a shotgun ever. Shooting turkey shot shouldn't require a scope. I think that's derived from the TV shows showing you something every week what you don't need. Sales tactics is all that crap is.

Ask jeff he will agree that i shoot allot more accurate without a scope its just not my thing.. Mabey a red dot scope would be better but i doubt it!

The only prolbems is with a red dot is if their is snow. Their is proablly no snow down by you guys but during turkey season the first few weeks we usaully have snow. A couple of years ago my dad was gun hunting for deer and their was new snow and it was bright. He couldn't see his red dot at all. Of course a nice buck walked out with some does. He put where he thought the dot should be and fired. He emptied his gun on that buck. The first shot hit a doe and he hit the buck twice in the back. My uncle shot him the next day. Now we will not shot red dots at all for animals just goofing around.

How about see through scope mounts? When you shoot with a scope you should be keeping both eyes open for reference until just before the squeeze happens. I don't see the purpose of a scope when shooting scatter shot anyway. Haven't seen many other bird hunters using a scope on a shotgun? Aim and shoot with scatter shot with that shot number used. I've shot deer with single buck and still didn't use a scope. I can lead a goose with a 40" barrel bare bones, way better than with a scope.

Anyway, here's the bow pic's I said I'd post later. Never even shoot'm anymore. Looks like a string is shot on the PSE. Crossbow time now.
