My Wish Empty My Wish

Post by NantucketShedHunter Tue Mar 12, 2013 12:23 pm

Since my M80XT was stolen, I have been very very very leery about setting my cameras out again. I'm slowly getting back into it. I need to move on and chalk the stolen cam up to experience (or lack thereof).

My high end cams are safe out of the woods and in my house. My low end cams are out now. I set up my 2011 Covert Reveal on a property I expertly apply product at. It should be safe there. I locked it to the tree with a python cable. I then disguised the cable and as much as the cam I could with cut foliage from the tree it's on. I keep thinking what G-Man tells us to conceal.

Now when I go back to check on a cam I think to myself will it still be there? But I understand people are people and most of them are bad.

Anyway, getting back to the topic at hand. My wish is for trail cameras to somehow be the size of an SD card. That way, it could be easily hidden from the mouth-breathing, knuckle-dragging bums lurking around just looking to steal your camera. Hopefully in the future, trail camera manufacturers will make the cameras tiny enough so as not to be seen. That's my wish.

That idea is already a possibility but for hand carry or inside uses called spy cams. The outdoor one is the trick and having an array of lighting for night ops is the dilemma again.

It wouldn't be an issue if we would incorporate cutting hands off if convicted of theft like the medieval countries do overseas currently! Pretty sad you have to invest in either that battery sized GPS to pay to track it or buy another camera to watch the one they can see.

I agree with you Ghost. The reason we have so much theft in this country is because the criminals do not fear the criminal justice system.....

That would be cool to have. The only prolbem that I would have is finding it.

Most of my cameras are put in the thick stuff. I use a GPS app on my iPhone to find them.
