Aggressive Turkey!

Went to put some left over clover on my new plot and had a hen try to attack me. I just started seeding when a hen flew up, doing some crazy cackling, out of a 12ft cedar by me. My first thought was 'shoot I spooked her off', but instead she came straight down, turned and with murder in her eyes started coming straight at me. Realizing her poults are in this cedar and the fact that I'm about to get attacked, I high tailed it out of the plot. I went 30yds out of the plot and she went quiet, so I turned to see what she was doing. She was walking in a circle until she saw that I had stopped, then she started her strange cackling again and started coming after me through the chest high grass. I crossed over to the next field and left her alone. Never knew a wild turkey would show aggression towards a human, but she was ready to fight. Safe to say my cats won't be killing any of her poults.

Glad your Ok Wouldn't have thought she'd do that...

I had a Canada Goose do that to me last month while shed hunting.
