I'm a big Moultrie fan/user. My old M100 is on it's second year of grinding out quality pictures 24/7/365. I also have a M80X which is performing well. My D55IR is okay 'cept for the painfully slow trigger. I loved my M80XT until some knuckle-dragging, mouth-breathing piece of $hit stole it.

I recently took delivery of a M880. Programming was simple. Didn't have to read the manual. I noticed a few additions to this cam over my older mini Moultries mainly the fast fire mode and the python lock loops on the back of the case. And the two threaded inserts on the back of the camera are a nice new feature as well.

One thing I'm confused about is Moultrie boasts in their advertising this camera is low glow. It is far from low glow. It's a red blob cam with a bright red glow at night.

I will set it up today in one of my hot spots and let it soak for a while. Stay tuned.

In the backyard testing last night I had it set to a three shot standard burst. The first two red blobs were a second in duration and the last one was about 1/2 second duration. I was testing in very very tight quarters and I'm happy to report there was ZERO burn.

I could clearly see the bright red flashes. This is NOT a low glow camera.

I think low glow is just a marketing term used to describe an ir cam compared to a white flash cam. It's a shame Moultrie did such a poor job with the d-333, but this one looks like a winner. Love the 100ft flash range and it's hard to believe that it can be that big of a flash without severe ir burn on close subjects. Look forward to your pics and overall impressions of the cam.
