october 5. Little later than others but i think our season is shorter and the later it starts the farther into rut it goes.

Sep. 27th mrgreen
My early season hunting is pretty much shot. They started logging the other day and will go into the season. had to pull most of my cams because they were where they were gonna pull logs. Sad

You might have some hope Jeff. If they are leaving the tops of tree's, I've heard that the deer will come to eat on the leaves. If the tops are laying around keep an eye on them to see if they're being browsed. Logging should improve your hunting next year by creating alot of new under growth.

Jeff when I was logging the deer didn't leave the area they just changed there patterns if you shut the skidder off 10 mins later deer were checking things out! The loggers will make some nice paths for ya and plenty of cover for the deer with the tops that they leave ! Deer love bedding down in them tops !! Usually hunting areas get better after logging IMO

Got to much under growth the way it is lol mrgreen  Wouldn't bother me as much, but we had to pull all our stands so they could log silent
