Post by huntinOH on Wed Jul 11, 2012 5:14 pm

When do you guys seem to have the most deer action?? Usually i see more deer in the early morning then i do later in the ay . But i know that some guys that seem to fill out more deer later in the day . I dont know it probally all depends on where you hunt. So usually if i have achoice between an early morning hunt or an afternoon hunt you can guess wich one i'm going to choose Smile

i got school over season so the morning is often nonhuntable. Saturdays though i normally go out. For the most part i have noticed that i see more at night in archery. But in rifle since the deer are being scared around by the wealth of hunters in the woods the are all over the place early. I got my doe in archery in the evening and my buck in rifle in the morning. So, I personally have seen more deer in the evening but i know guys around here that would say they are morning hunters. I probably just haven't gone out in the morning enough.

I hear alot of people say in the morning. The reason some of us dont notice it in the morning is prolly cus we only go out in the morning once or twice a week.

I like to hunt in the morning because its always cool to watch the sun come up and see the woods come alive .. .. But like you said we dont get to hunt in the morning as much jobs, school, and some other stuff .. ..

Evenings are best around food sources. Mornings are best back in the woods catching them headed back to their beds. Of course you need to have enough land for this to work, which I don't. Most of my hunting is done in the evening around food plots on small tracts of land. In the morning if I spook one deer going in, then you spook them all and you might as well turn around and go back to bed.
