What are your favorite set ups for hunting during the rut?? Ridges, draws, food , ect! I usually like to hunt a ridge that has some open hardwoods! I usually seem to see more deer there then down in the thick stuff! what are your favorites setups for the rut?

My favorite set is a travel corridor parallel to a food plot, be where the does are and the bucks will show, that's the setup I had when I shot my buck this year. Scoot

Don't have alot of other options in our spots, so I'm always around a food plot. Bucks go where the doe's are and the doe's main focus is food.

It's a real bummer the one peice of land we lease to hunt was over loaded with does last year wich brought in bucks like crazy !! You could sit on any ridge or draw and deer would come through but this past summer the farmer got kill permits and shot 42 does off of the property!! Now it's a completely different game down there ! Deer are hard to come by ! Will have to check and see where the remaining does are hanging around at and set up a tree stand on a travel route hopefully a nice buck shows !!
