Who is all going to be hunting turkeys ??

Who's all going to be hunting some Turkeys this season ?? I can't wait! Anyone have any good stories ,tips or tricks to bag a gobbler?? Im not a pro at hunting them ! I have only been hunting turkeys for 2 full seasons now! And have put 3 birds down! It seems that whenever I can setup underneath a roosted hen and start yelping they get angry and yelp back! This makes allot of sound for the gobblers to be intrested in! and they usually come to me as soon as they fly off the roost ! Mabey its just dumb luck but I usually excpect some action when that happens!

Hope to fling some arrows at them, but it's a wait and see thing. Have to wait and see if there will be any around our spots. People kill gobblers year round in are spots, so it can be hard to just find a jake.

I would love to use my bow and arrow for turkeys but since im limited on my Turkey hunting time I doubt I will ! I like to use my shot gun ! That way I know I can get him !

I will be out there come the end of April. I will start trying to get a few birds patterned around the end of March and then try to keep up with them till season starts.

Usually about 3 weeks before the season every chanhce i get im out trying to pattern the turkeys! Hopefully we can have some good succes this year to !

How do you guys pattern your turkeys ?

I go hang out with them for a few hours every weekend. Then a few days before season I will pick out a few birds and watch/listen to them to see what they are doing every day. Then I will try to focus on one and put him to bed the night before opening day and then set up where he has been going the last few days. It doesn't always work out, but overall I think it is worth the effort.

Headed to Kansas Monday after next, hunt Monday afternoon through Friday morning then head back here Friday afternoon/night to get ready to take a kid for our youth season. It is getting close!

Good luck Gary! Checked cams today and things are ROCKING! Several gobblers and jakes strutting, plus several adult hens in the winter wheat. Broke out the bow this evening so I'll be ready.

I went out and shot my bow a little this afternoon. We will be bow hunting Monday afternoon and Tuesday and then shotgun hunting starts Wednesday. Never killed a bird with my bow before so I am hoping to get a shot at one before I break out the boom stick.

I will be... I saw a big ol' long beard, on Mon., 4-7. Came right up to one of my ground blinds... I was up above, sitting in another one of my blinds, watching the show... He was double and triple gobblin' and Strutting proudly, What a show! Plus, I had 5 Gobblers on the trail cam. He may have been one of them... (Will post them, when I learn how to download pics, to the site.) PA season, does not open, til' Sat., 5-3, I won't get to go until Mon., though...
