ROOKIE TO TRAIL CAMERAS
Hi Folks..
I must confess to being a "ROOKIE" to trail cameras but this will be my "50th" deer season, Golly, I hunted all these years WITHOUT trail cameras and suddenly... I was "BITTEN BY THE BUG.." I currently own 2 CUDDEBACK CAPTURES and recently acquired a SPYPOINT 2n1 and I admit, I see MORE cameras in the very near future.
I guess it is just ANOTHER "SECOND CHILDHOOD" but it sure appears to be ADDICTIVE.. I also have to confess that it is VERY CONFUSING and INTIMIDATING with all the different makes and models. I have read many reviews and just when I THINK I have made up my mind on a certain camera... I read a NEGATIVE comment and I am back to ZERO again.. Some people prefer this brand, other prefer that brand.
PLEASE forgive me if I ask some STUPID questions.. I DO look forward to making a BUNCH of NEW FRIENDS and learning MORE about trail cameras.

Re: ROOKIE TO TRAIL CAMERAS
Well welcome to the forum its always good to see new guys ! Im not an "expert" When it comes to trail cameras but I have figured out that its addicting and fun ! I enjoy trying to get the most unique picture that I can ! And it's always a suprise to see what you have on camera ! There sure is not a shortage of brands , Makes & Models to choose from ! It all depends on what you want to do with the camera's ! Deer scouting, Security , Hobby . I use my cameras as a hobby and try and do some deer scouting with them as well! I have allot of differant brands and models and I have a few favorites ! I would say my favorite camera of the bunch is my Covert red 40 ! Covert seems to make a good camera at a good price to ! They have good battery life and pictures are great ! If you look around in the trail camera pictures part of the forum you should be able to check out allot of pictures from differant cameras and see what you like ! Heres a few simple questions ! Would you want Flash cameras or Infrared LEDs , and How much are you spending on a camera ?
But it definately is fun hanging up your cameras and finding out whats all roaming out and around your hunting property ! I know I have had a few Major suprises and even once had a monster buck walk down a trail right past my stand I was planning on hunting and he had his picture taken ! I was sick to my stomach about not hunting that stand !
Once again Welcome aboard its good to have you hear !

THANK YOU for the KIND welcome and I CERTAINLY appreciate and respect your opinions and comments. I am basically wanting to use my trailcameras for hunting and scouting and it is becoming a HOBBY also. I TOTALLY agree with the anticipation of what I see when I check my cameras. SOme days I might have NOTHING then the next time I check.. I feel like I HIT THE LOTTERY!!!
