My sight has one pin and it's dead on from 0-30, at 35 it drops to much, so I stick with a 30yd limit. Hunting urban areas there's no room for error. If you have to track you may have to go across several properties and or backyards, some being 300,000 dollar homes. Here in Mo a land owner has the right to refuse access to retrieve your deer and the animal will set and rot with no penalty.

Like Sodbuster my max is about 30yrds. I only have 2 pins as of right now. Most of our setups you cant even shoot 20 yrds, some not more than 10....

Most shots are within the 15 yrd mark anyways but i just like to see how far i can be accurate! i know a buddy of mine can shoot an apple out at 60 yrd with the bow! but he wont shoot that far at a deer because theres more that could go wrong and you would be more likely to put a bad shot on a deer!

I shoot a horton crossbow and i wont shoot further then 25 yrds because thats what im comfortable with and im not going to risk putting a bad shot on a deer. most times when i have chances at deer they are closer then that! unless you hunt in fields but when you hunt in the woods with the branches , briars ,ect. chances are its going to be up close!

I don't know how it is out there, but in most of my experiences in the woods, i could have shot alot of deer out to 60 yds(farthest) could just be the woods are thicker out there. Remember though, you can always clear shooting lanes which will give you more chances at more deer which is always good. Very Happy

well most not all of the woods around here are somewhat thick so bow range is verry limited but i hunt in areas where there are also fields so i can usually shoot pretty far but if your in the woods its gona be a close shot if your bow hunting

The woods down here in southwest Mo is real thick. You'll need to do a good amount of trimming to get a clear 20yd shot. Plenty of spots that you can't even crawl through. Have alot of cedar, blackberry, raspberry, gooseberry, greenbriar, grapevine, kudzu, honeysuckle, and multiflora rose. All the things that make good deer browse. Around here if the woods is open then there won't be many deer unless acorns are dropping. Go to north Mo and it's just the opposite, open flat farm country.
