Homemade camera mount for my bow
Got the camera for $3 at a garage sale, and already had the things I needed to make the mount. What I did is take a bolt then cut off the end. Next I threaded one end so that it fits where my stabilizer would go, then I threaded the other end to fit the cameras tri-pod insert. After that I bent it to the angles I wanted then tested it out. Doesn't take the best vids, and won't be nearly as good as the ones made for it, but good enough for me. For a $3 investment i'm happy. All I need to to yet is paint the mount.

Nice. Is there any unbalance or noise with this set up.

There is a small amount of vibration, and can't really hear any added noise.

Nice work! If you could find some used Sims Limb Savers you could poke a small hole in them and slide it over the metal rod to cut back on vibration. Could check a local bow shop to see if they have any they have taken off someones bow and are going to throw away.

That depends. It all matters on the lighting, and how still I can hold it after the shot.

Thx
I think I could take a few things off the stabilizer I have now, and slide it onto the rod.

Well, it WAS pretty decent Was testing it out more earlier and I put parts of my stabilizer over the rod, which fit perfectly on it. Shot a few times and it was working fine. Then it shut of. Thought it might be the batteries, so i put fresh ones in and still nothing. I took the cam apart and when I opened the cam up, there was a crack on the main board, so looks like it couldn't handle the vibration Was gonna take it with me tonight when I go hunting, but looks like thats not gonna happen.....

That stinks, but at least you're only out 3 bucks and some time.

Ya, but I don't have any others that take decent video. I'll prob end up eventually getting something that can handle the vibration.
