Have watched yearling bucks chasing doe's and fawns around the field and plots. Have had only 4 yearling bucks show up since mid-Oct, and finally found out why. Have a beast of a buck that has moved in and is keeping anything over a year old ran out. Wind shifts back to the north tomorrow and going to get back after him. Have 2 doe's that should be coming into estrous this coming week, so maybe I can catch him in the daylight.

Rut is in full swing here too.Had 5 bucks check my food plot here at the house yesterday evening.Biggest was a 6 point and about 12 inches wide. One was even a devil horn spike about 2-1/2 inches long.
Does have quit coming in so they must be locked down or hiding from the bucks. Laughing

Do you hunt in that food plot or is it for your trail cams? sounds like a nice spot!

It is 99% for trail cameras.I have taken a few deer that were crippled or one I thought should be out of the woods over the past 35 years.

Thats cool! You can kinda manage a few deer by taking out the crippled ones!
