New land to place cams on
This google image I edited for you shows the 800 acres in red. The blue is our buddy down the road and the one I ran his D6 and 325 excavator for when he was extending his farm area for his cattle.
I wanted to venture his way to see what bucks are on the out skirts of the 800 and might be ones that might come our way during the rut. I'm going to see him tomorrow afternoon and see where I can go. I want to avoid where the cattle go of course to avoid them or the donkey's from messing them up. I'll move the Special Forces team to his property and see what the Rock's got cookin. I find out the total acreage tomorrow. I think it's close to 1,250 acres or so. He might have some ideas also on good places to sniff out.
I'll keep ya posted as usual.

That's what I there to find out. I almost like the animal searching as much as the deer hunting. If I see a big one for this area I'll hunt, if none show, why waste the time hunting them.

Re: New land to place cams on
I got with my friend that owns that tract down the road and found out a couple of guys leased the tract for this years hunting season. They don't get the yellow outlined area shown here as this is reserved for the cattle. I can utilize this area for my reconnaissance project. They leased 975 acres.
They have cell cams on their lease side so they can observe from Florida some 6 hours away. In the zoomed image all the open field areas are what I made with the D6 dozer. There is also a tiny duck pond in this area as well. Whatever crosses through here will be seen in the guys lease and we'll see on the 800 acres down the road where we hunt.
I'll be doing a recon soon with my friend on the cattle fields and woods to find the travel paths to post on. I'll heavily hit this area before deer season with the whole team of cams and then pull them back for the 800 attack again before the season starts.
He also raises quail and has hunts on his land when season is in. I mentioned I wanted to capture some owl shots and he gave me the ideal guaranteed recipe that can't miss. I'll put the S600 there along with the DXG 567V to capture HD video as well if it all works out.
He did mention that the owls mate when the turkeys start gobbling. I want to catch the owls screaming like monkeys at night which sounds unreal. Hope it all works out!!

For right now the whole team's going that way. 7 cams should do nicely for this recon. Never enough cams though. I need more S600 builds as their small and outstanding deployers.J.K. wrote:Lookin good Looks like someones gonna need more cams
