Turkeys
Got some pictures of some toms strutting in my Grandpas back yard. Also saw a group the other day strutting. Cant wait to go out and chase some thunder chickens. Anybody got pictures of them.

Re: Turkeys
My brother has 9 jakes at his house, we had pics of 6 gobblers at his other property, and my mom has 5 gobblers at her place. Hope there are a couple around somewhere come April 15 to fling an arrow at, but with no hens I doubt it. I have a hen that shows up at my house every year at the first of April through July, but never a gobbler. Our season shuts down at mid-day everyday, so only get to hunt the weekends. Do you guys have any luck with calls? We try to just set a ground blind up where they fly down coming off roost.

You are making me hungry Fallguy!!!!
On the serious, I haven't seen any turkey's around my area....
Re: Turkeys
They are on my Grandpa's camera so hopefully I'll get the card pretty soon. I use calls all the time, but mainly in the afternoon. Which doesn't help you much. I only use my mouth to call seems to work pretty good. Saw a coyote running and hit my rabbit distress. Big tom gobbled back, it was the only thing he would gobble too. An hour later he flew the river with 4 hens, after another hour of calling he broke. Was coming into the decoys and at 50 yards Grandpa layed the smack down on him. Ran out to the tom and looked back at Grandpa. He was on his butt and the tent flipped over.He bought a new chair and the chair flipped over. It was a pretty funny site to see. The tom was 28 pounds and had a 11 inch beard. With big hooked spurs. The only prolbem was that it was 70 degress out and had a long walk home. Sorry for the long story, but everytime I think of turkey hunting I think of that hunt.

That's funny Bryce, to bad you didn't get it on video lol! 28lbs is a BIG bird. Only good story I've got is one Thanksgiving morning my brother and I doubled up. I cut a hens neck in half with my Thunderhead and she dropped like a rock. All the others came running to see what's wrong and when a small gobbler came in my brother ran an arrow through it. It was the first turkeys either of us had ever killed.
