I had my camera set a little low last time and when the grass grew the camera was almost to low ! You could see a deer was there but not the whole body so thats something i dont want to do again Smile

Don't set it right behind a waving branch or weed. This is seriously annoying because you will get a ton of blank pics.
Don't set it in plain sight. I did this and got mine stolen.

That is all I can think of for now. Will try to get more later.

Don't forget to put in an SD card, and turn the camera on mrgreen Like Beast don't set it right behind a waving branch, and try to hide it the best you can. Don't put it on a tree that moves alot when it's windy.

also try not to set your camera facing east since it will get a few pics from the rising sun and if a deer is in the pics you wont be able to see it plainly

this is not the rising sun but you get the idea how the pics might look!

Never thought of that Galen but thanks i'll keep my eye out for that too. In my opinion you should have the camera looking at as much area as you can. I missed several pics once because i had it looking up to high and forgot about the little trail a couple yds. in front of the cam. Hope this helps HuntinOH, Beast

I have never had one stolen yet but i had a few guys mess with one already

I had a few pics of two guys infront of the camera over a little bait pile for deer then the next picture they were looking and pointing at the camera then the picture after that the camera was tilted to the side so i figure they messed with it . It wasnt locked or anything and they could have easily grabbed it!

Don't aim your cam too high. Just got done with a disapointing pull in which there was 3 pics of trees. shooting way above the deer.

I carry a cheap Jazz camera when setting up cameras. Reads most of my cameras files. Makes it Much easier for camera setup Smile Paid $20 for mine, but you can sometimes find them on ebay for $10-15
