Moultrie M-550??

What do you guys all know about this camera ?? I went with a buddy today to buy his first trail camera down at the Cabelas store and they didnt have a hujge selection so the only camera really in his price range was the M550 moultrie !! they were on sale for 99.00 compared to the msrp 129.00 .. I dont know anything about those cameras but I hope he likes it ! I figured mabey one of you guys could give me some inside on it ! It seemed like a nice little camera for the money just by holding it !

www.trailcampro.com/moultriem-550review.aspx. I've been a Moultrie fan since day one, but wouldn't buy a 2014 Moultrie. Recently recieved a Browning Strike Force and love it. If Moultrie doesn't get back on track then I'll be buying more Brownings. Trailcampro has the Strike Force for $130 with a 2 year warranty, sd card, and free shipping. Personally I would take the 550 back and get the Force. If I had the money I would load up on the Strike Force.

I would not recommend the 550. I owned two 333's and they were horrible. I'm a HUGE Moultrie fan but they missed the boat when they made the 333's, 444's and the 550. Get the Recon Force or the Strike Force. The 2013 M880 is a great camera. NOT THE 2014.

Thank's for the honest reviews guys ! I sure hope he doesn't have allot of trouble with the camera! I wish now that he would have went with one of the browning cameras instead ! I have always thought that browning trail cameras took great pictures and were not priced way out of hand eaither ! ! I guess we will see what happens with this camera! ... I know I will not be buying allot of moultrie cameras ! Mine is already taking pink pictures and the flash goes of at night only for half the pictures !

Being his first cam he'll probably be happy with it. Your cam sounds like it needs to go back to Moultrie.

Yeah I just have not had the time to send it in and all that drama ! I liked the camera but i think ants got into it and messed a few things up !

Both of my 333's took all pink pictures before I sent them both back.
