Bearded hens are pretty common, but those look like gobblers. Gobblers spend most of the year together. Down the road from me there is a group of 15 gobblers and my mom has a group of 6 that come running when she dumps corn.

Thanks for the info guys.Yes we do have a turkey season here in the spring.The last 20 years have seen a good growth of turkeys despite the growth in the coyote population.

I' sure that the coyote will hurt a turkey population!! But I think coon,possums and skunks will quickly bust a nest and eat some eggs !! They can ruin the population really fast to!! Do you hunt turkeys ?? I was suprised on how fun they are to hunt!!

I don't hunt them myself but one of the boys here does.I'm not sure how many eggs the coons and coyotes eat, but I do know the hens get pretty aggressive when anything gets close to their nests.
