Re: REVIEW site
Question for you JK what is the difference between the regular flash and the IR 18 count red flash as the n4 has. Which is better.

Re: REVIEW site
Good question. Regular strobe flash is a flash that is just like a handheld cameras flash. Therefore you, deer, and others can see the flash at night. There is also color night pictures, and no motion blur. With IR flash you can only see a red glow by the LED's. Also with IR you have B&W night pics, and motion blur. Heres an example of how the IR LED's will look(The N4 will look similar to the one on the left) I prefer regular flash as it doesn't spook some of my deer. Some deer have gotten used to both and don't care anymore

Re: REVIEW site
Once you get your camera take it in a closet or a dark place. Then make it takes a picture so it uses the IR's then you will see how the IR LED's glow red.

Re: REVIEW site
J.K would the low glow cameras have dimmer night time pictures or would they look the same as with the Industry Standard?
Re: REVIEW site
Depends some do and some don't. Some have more flash range than regular IR, an some have less.
Heres an example of a Black flash that still throws out some light.

Heres an example of a Black flash cam that doesn't have as much flash range, but still takes good pics

Re: REVIEW site
Yup and its actually fairly bright!
I dont think that coyotes can see it since they cant see red light but im sure that the deer are spooked by it

Re: REVIEW site
yeah thats pretty much what it looks like
Most of my deer dont seem to care about it but a few of them you can tell are spooked by it and you rarely see that deer infront of that camera again!

Re: REVIEW site
First place any new cam goes is straight to a pitch black bathroom. My m80's have the longest flash, but the flash duration on the 80x is a little longer than the black case 80 (wierd). The rest of my cams seem to be a fairly quick dull flash. Have never had a deer spook from an ir cam and only one ever spook from a white flash, but he came back and had his pic taken several times in the following months.

Re: REVIEW site
I like using both styles but i have seen both styles spook deer ! But for the most part they dont spook deer !
Re: REVIEW site
My low glow acorns are hard to see,but my dlc black60 I cant see at all. I have lots of red blob cams and have deer turn and run from them while in video mode. some deer dont care and others run, always seem like it is a mature deer that dont tolerate the red glow very much

Re: REVIEW site
I can see that mature deer would be more likely to spook with regular Ir cameras!! I usually dont see them running but i dont set allot of cameras on video mode eaither!
