First Sheds Of The Year

Do any of you here shed hunt?


Had a great first day shed hunting recently. Went to one of my hot spots that has produced sheds for me every year for three years. I wasn't out of the truck for three min and I found a nice half of an 8. After that I found a matched set and another antler making it 4 for the day. All this in under 2 hours! I'll be back at it again tomorrow.

Nice!! I usually walkaround and try and find some but i never find allot!! i have found some nice sheds but never a set!

I recently found another nice 1/2 of an 8, a spike and a small 2 point. 7 so far in just three short days of shed hunting
It's very addictive. Nothing like walking up on a nice big 1/2 of an 8 with blood, hair and skin on the base!

Nice find That one in the 2nd pic looks odd, but cool looking.. I usually just look for sheds while checking cams. I'm up to 1 shed this year

I'm thinking that odd one had a worm or some kind of a parasite burrow into the antler during velvet causing the hole.

Those are some nice sheds you got. We have way to much snow to even start looking. Cant wait for the first day.
