How big are your food plots. Around here with the price of corn prices none of mine are over a half of a acre. Do you change what you plant in the food plots if they are big or small.

We had one this last year that wa 4acres. It started off pretty good, but when the drought hit the food plot didn't grow to well, but the Weeds did. It was basically bedding since the weeds grew to over 8ft tall

Ours go from 1/8-3/4 acre since we mainly bowhunt. We don't have high deer numbers, so overgrazing is not an issue. We plant clover, chicory, winter wheat, rye, and a little brassica. Prefer clover for max tonage and a 10 month food source.

Scroll down to the post of "Last years food plot enlargement" and you'll see the big plot here. Most of the others are less than an 1/2 acre to a throw and grow plot.
