Nice and warm this week
The old man winter has departed finally. Last week it warmed up considerably and today was pretty nice. It was so nice the wife and I broke out our road bikes and peddled about 12 miles today and after having that serious back surgery too!! I didn't even feel like I had it that's how well the surgery went! Anyway, here's the cluster on the 4x4 today.

And I thought that our 28 degrees today was awesome. Looks like old man winter has no let up in site, supposed to get dumped on by snow in a few days. Cant wait until I can walk outside and it dosent take 10 minutes to get dress so you dont get frostbite.

That's one major reason I moved from Michigan at 20 years old and joined the military and hauled a$$ to Hawaii. Wound up down here in the South and never looked back. You can keep that cold arse weather up there no matter how big the deer are!

Been beautiful spring weather last few days here, but it changes tomorrow. Gonna get below freezing at night all week which means gonna have to bring all 106 tomato plants in the house every night.

Sounds like a bunch of bend and reach exercise's ahead Sodbuster. Ever try those topsie turvey ones I saw advertised on t.v?
No snakes today Bryce. I'll keep an eye out tomorrow for sure though. They'll be waking up hungry for sure when they do!

No never tried growing em that way. Never had good results growing them in pots. I love to grow giant tomatoes (the kind that hang off the sides of your burger), the bulk of my maters will be in the 2-5lb range. Heard awhile back about if some trade agreement with Mexico fell through, tomatoes would be 5.00 a pound in the store. Anybody want to give me 20 bucks for one tomato lol. Grow your own or support your local Farmers Market and let those flavorless and loaded with who knows what grocery store veggies set on the shelves and rot.GHOSTMAN wrote:Sodbuster wrote:Been beautiful spring weather last few days here, but it changes tomorrow. I copy ya on supporting local farmers. I was stationed in Hawaii and a guy was from a Parrish in LA and his family grew some hellashish tomatoes. His last name was Mistrot. He always used to talk about those big state fair winning whoppers and we'd always bust on him about being a tomato farmer.
