Farmers
Do any of you farm? My dad farms 400 acres and we had a bunch of beef. We sold a bunch of beef and sold them since we were losing money with the corn. A rancher called me last night and was asked to to the run his farm for a couple of days.He is going to the meat convention. He runs the meat market and the gas station with stuff in it. I get some pretty good trades for working.

Re: Farmers
Used to. Dairy and hay until grandpa had a massive heart attack. He recovered enough to get back into cattle and hay. He died when I was 14 and my brother and I did hay after, but quit because not enough money in it and it was hard to find hay haulers (most were drunks that busted bales). Now we just farm for wildlife and let a friend round bale the fields. I don't really miss having cattle and fences to deal with. I would like to row crop, but it would take to large of an investment to get started.

No real farming here either. We do game food plots and the big dove field will be fertilized soon and were letting hay farmer cut it and roll it so we don't have buy 400 gallons of diesel and spend hours cutting it with the huge bat wing bush hog.
