Re: Working on a new build
The slave before it is hacked uses 4AA batteries and it will last quit awhile. Here, after the hack I use 4C batteries for the slave and 2C's for external batteries for the camera. The slave should last 5 weeks or so under normal activity, say 40 or so night pics a night. The cam about the same. I use rechargeable batteries in the camera.ray12 wrote:How long do the batterys last with the slave?

Does the cam have burst mode or is it 1 pic per trigger?

It has trail mode and feeder mode. Trail mode will take a pic as soon as the camera is ready shot after shot as long as there is movement. Feeder mode it will take a pic every 30 secs as long as there is movement. (I believe)I will check on that for you. I never use feeder mode, so not sure. Trail mode is every 3-4 secs.J.K. wrote:Does the cam have burst mode or is it 1 pic per trigger?

Cool
Your using his board correct?
http://www.snapshotsniper.com/SSII.htm
Whats the sensing range?
Is that the simplest board to install & operate?
Sorry for all the questions

No problem about the questions. Thats how we learn.
That is the board in the build. It is the smallest available right now and works great.
There is a sensor pot that can be adjusted for distance. When you turn the board on, it
goes into a walk test. When you walk in front of the cam, a red light comes on to let you
know how far out it is seeing. Keep moving and it will flash again. Right now I would say
it is sensing out about 40ft. Kinda hard to see it in daytime, so evening would be best to
test the walk test. Once it does not sense any movement for about 30 secs. the red light
flashes 5 times and arms itself. It is now ready to take pics.
The battery running the board will last about 2 years.

Quick question about the Slave. What is the difference between the SlavePro1 board and a different Slave board
