Do any of you do it. The ice is now gone and we can jump in the rivers to go catch them with our hands. We can also use nets during the day but that isnt as much fun. Spearing season opens sunday and I cant wait. It's never been this late and spearing season is usaully no where near when they run. I'll post some pics as soon as I can get out their and start fishing. Make awesome coon bait for trapping and they taste pretty good.

Never caught or ate one. A town close to me has a big Sucker Days festival every year.

After roosting a couple of toms decided to go down to the crick to see if anything has come up out of the Lake winnebago. It was snowing before and it was blowing pretty good but I decided to jump in the water anyways. Seen 2 fish total but was lucky enough to get my hands around 1. The other 1 was in deep water and all I saw was mud. It was a nice female though.

Just got 7 more they are finally up the river. Hit 60 degrees today one of the best feeling ever. Only better fishing to come now.
