Rubs me the wrong way

A week or so ago I was lying in bed watching TV & had the windows open. About 12:30A.M. I heard a rifle shot. I was almost positive I knew where it came from. About a 1/2 mile down the road there was always a nice buck out in the evenings(Easily seen while driving down the road). I haven't seen him since that night, & now all the deer are skidish when they see a vehicle(Didn't run before this)   Anyone else think someones poaching?  

NO DOUBT! Don't worry though, I'm sure it was some guy needing to feed his family lol. Happens here, but it's usually out their backdoor over a corn pile at night.

Sounds like poaching to me!! Hope they didn't get the buck !!

Hope you don't have any trail cams out around where you heard the shot. They will most likely be gone when you go to check them.
