yeah it does take an eye but it also took the right conditions. over cast rainy days are the best to spot a shed! oh and a little luck! that one was literally 40 yards from a friends house. they are not hunters and have pines that line their yard. it was about 5 yards from the pines.

It does seem they stick out more after a little rain! Thats when I found most of mine so far!

Wow ! How much property do you have to shed hunt ? Your a shed hunting machine !! Great finds !

not sure never actually added it up but it is in the thousands of acres plus i shed hunt some public as well.

very long and p&*^ poor day of shedding. I could not figure out why I was not finding anything until I was on the way out. then I found some tire tracks.

Do they have permission to or is it tresspassers ?

permission I am sure. other people hunt there so I imagine they had permission but I really do not know who was there so I have no idea. lol. just one of those things. sometimes I beat others sometimes I get beat.

never run out. to much property to cover. 67 sheds and 12 dead racked bucks so far on the year. still need 33 to hit my goal

On average how many sheds do you find each season ?

well that depends on what years you add into the average. i remember when i started shed hunting. i was lucky to find 10 a year. i thought thats how it was and everyone was that way. then i found out that there was guys pulling 100s. so i basically spent 2 years at the drawing board figuring things out and developing a system that works for me. the last years i went 2011-28 2012-47 2013-77 and this year 67 so far. i should also add i do not use a dog or any type of shed "trap". these are 100% found where they fell (unless moved by other animals) by me.

2010 was in the low 20s. my revamp was the 2010 and 2011 shed hunting and since then i think i got a system that works for me.

3 years ago I found 29 sheds. 4 matched sets. 2 years ago I found 18 sheds. 2 matched sets. This year I've only found 11. 2 matched sets.

You are both finding way more sheds then I did ! My problem is not going out and looking for them anymore ! To busy with work and trying to do some other stuff!
