Post by ray12 on Sat Jan 03, 2015 1:29 pm

Yesterday was the opening day for the Ohio 3 day muzzloader season and I managed to get a deer on the ground! Just a small deer but I have passed up way to many deer this year and I needed to put something down lol !

It's the first deer with my new muzzloader and I hope theres a few more deer in this guns future ! Smile

They're all good eating. It comes down to how they're taken care of from field to table. Get to it as soon as you can and get it properly field dress, get it hung up so the blood drains out, get the meat cooled down and you'll have quality meat. I had a neck roast tonight from a rutted up buck and the meat fell off the bone in the crock pot because it was so tender. The only way to have good meat is to process it yourself.
