Wasn't planning on looking today as it's a little late in the season for me to search. Last year I found two on May second. So I snuck into a place I've had in the back of my mind for two years. I discovered it looking for a new spot to set up a camera. I never did set up a trail camera there. It's an old growth pine forest right next to a pond. I didn't hit it last year. Today I found a nice 1/2 of an 8 there. Only about an inch of the tines were sticking up through the bed of pine needles. I always have good luck in pine forests. A few weeks ago I found a nice matched set under an old pine tree.

Here's today's find-

It's a spot that I have a funny feeling that if I put a cam in there it would get stolen in 5 seconds even if it's locked up good to the tree. When I get that feeling I never put a cam in one of those spots.
