A Typical Camera Set Empty A Typical Camera Set

Here's a typical camera set I do. This one is deep in the thick stuff. I had to cut a path in. 99 percent of my sets are like this. Where the M80XT was stolen was not a typical set for me. I should have known better. If a thief wanted this camera, he would have to walk in a long way to rip it off.

I was going to put the cam on the middle tree but decided to put it on the right hand tree. I really doubt a thief will be way back in that thick stuff. I've had cams in there before and never had a human on them.

There are dirt trails all around the cam. The cam is set up looking over an intersection of three trails. I should have good results.

I usually wait for a week during the rut but this time of the year I like to leave a camera for at least a month since there is not much activity and no antlers to look at.

Here's an old bruiser taken with my Covert Black 60 in the same general area. I moved the site about 75 yards further in to prevent theft.

That's a jumbo buck for here. Tiny if he were in your neck of the woods.

Ole cuz is so old he looks Chinese huh? LOL.
Remember brah, if you cut your way in you left a trail so, knuckleheads that steal think like thieves and look for the obvious signs others would walk by. Gotta think out of the norm, hell with the box theory here.

Can't let Charlie track you or your the next casualty. That does look like a sweet spot though.

I know about marking the way in with a cut path but I'm getting too old to stoop down under the thick brush for .25 miles to get to the cam. I'm pretty confident about this spot being knuckle-dragger and mouth-breather free. I did a quick recon of the area and did not find any pot farms. I find tons of them when I'm looking to set up my cameras.

Yeah, those loafer wearers and mouth breathers are relentless for that dope I swear. Man do I know about the hunched over for .25 miles as my back wouldn't allow that no doubt.

The reconstruction surgery was a success and was at the start of the lumbar region than the very bottom where most injure themselves. I wish this camera had one of those Jackass boxing gloves that would nail his monkey a$$ when he stood there!
